What a day...
wow what a day. I rode a CCT (cobb community transit) downtown. so luck at what happend
The lift was stuck and wouldn't go down... so I couldn't get off. They were trying to get it to work but no luck. The driver was pretty rude through the whole process - worried more about liability than my safety. Amy got there and she transferred me to a seat on the bus and drove the chair out onto the ramp, got a couple big dudes to lift it and take it down from the ramp (that was about 5 feet in the air), they allllmost dropped it - gave Amy a heart attack, and then Amy carried me off the bus and put me in my chair. The bus driver was like I said rude through the whole thing. He turned the camera off on the bus in case anything happened and kept saying "you're taking full responsibility, right?" But I'm fine now. Some of the guys that were on the bus with me stayed and waited for me to get off the bus and were some of the ones that helped get the chair down, so that was nice of them.

Game Time
Well, what a weekend. The Falcons have started and they are off to a brilliant start! Mattie Ice, my boy, had a stellar game! So let's go Blues, Bring on Carolina!
And other news, I am pleased to announce that I am having a fundraiser event in the upcoming weeks to benefit Reaching for the Stars. They are an amazing foundation and they are very near and dear to my heart. I hope everyone has a great week and I will be back soon to let you know what's good in the neighborhood.

Happenings
A lot is going on in the world of K Peasey. I am currently working on a lot of projects, always seeking new opportunities to grow as an individual. The team of K Peasey has worked extremely hard to put a Bowling Fundraiser together, more details to come later. I am trying to make a conscious effort to blog more to let you know what is going on with me in the community. Career Sports, Publix, and the website are going well. If you haven't looked at my website yet, I encourage each and everyone of you to do so (www.kylepease.org). My staff, which I manage to take care of me, is my 4th job. It has been incredible to know that I can rely on these six people to take care of me through the good times and the bad. Thank you. In my support staff, which includes my parents, my friends, and other supporters have been there every step and "wheel" of the way. So as I conclude this blog, I ask each and everyone of you to look inside your heart and take a minute to look at the person next to you and tell them how much you love them. Until next time, take care of yourself and each other.

What's the point?
First of all, I would like to welcome myself back to the blog. Welcome. Let me update everyone about some K Peasey happenings. October 18th bowling with K Peasey. Please check your in-boxes as we are out reminders. What's The Point? I ask you this question, as I am asking myself this question. What's your purpose? Because frankly I'm still trying to figure this one out. Everybody has a purpose. Some just take time. Please continue to go to KylePease.org , and tell all your friends about it too.
I am pleased to anounce that I will be getting a new wheelchair. It will be making it's debut January 2010. However I am getting fit for it on Monday. I hope everyone has a great day.

Apple Store
Kate and I went into the Apple store in Lenox because I needed to get a new iPod. As I wheeled in, a large figure to the left caught my eye. I looked over and, lo and behold, I recognized this figure to be a player in the NBA. I wheeled over and said "what up"! After talking to him for a moment regarding their chances at heading to the finals, Kate and I went over to the iPod section and picked out my new Nano. Kate approached the sales associate and said we'd like to purchase an orange Nano. He told us to hold on while he grabbed one for us. A few minutes later, he walked up and said, "That gentleman over there would like to purchase your iPod for you" and he pointed at the NBA player! I wheeled on over and assured him that it was not necessary, but he insisted. I was floored beyond belief. Being the huge sports fan that I am, anyone who knows me can imagine my extreme elation. It was so refreshing to know that there are kind and generous athletes out there who aren't completely preoccupied with buying fancy cars and bling. He really touched my life in a huge way and I will never forget that.
Peasey peace!
p.s. Have fun in China, Amy!
