Rise Up

We all must rise up. Not only is this a great slogan for the Falcon's this season and there continued impressive season. And, I'm all about the Falcons! They rise up every game. Everyone must rise up in their own lives, it's not an easy battle but if you just take a second to reevaluate your life, and see how you can rise up to make a difference in someone's life. Rise up!!

Hey Atlanta!

Hey Atlanta! Congratulations to the Falcons on holding first place on their own. I really am a believer in this team right now. I'm ready for Thursday night.

Hey Atlanta! Why don't you fix your sidewalks so that I don't put my life in danger going down Dekalb Ave where sidewalks are broken. This is not okay in my book. I would like to tell y'all to look at my mobile wheeling album on the book. I think it's pretty cool. Peace Love and Sunshine.

There are still good people in this world

Throughout my many years of going out with friends and family, people are in awe of my presence and feel the need to go do a nice gesture. This was especially true tonight- Kelsey and I were at TacoMac when the waitress came over and said the bill was already taken care of. I don't know who it was, or what moved them to do this but thank you. This goes to show that there are still good people out there.

Does Anybody Read This?

Well, I don't know who reads this, but I hope everybody is well. What a good week! Braves barely make the play-offs, Falcons barely win, but a W is a W. I think we can all take away something from the city of Atlanta's sports this weekend: Never Give Up and Hard Work Always Pays Off. I hope everybody has a wonderful week!

New Job

I cannot into details about my new job due to some state laws, but I am extremely pleased with the first couple of days. It's a big place, but I think I'm up for the challenge! I just watched the Braves build their wild card lead to 1 game over the Padres. Let's try to win one for Bobby!

Wild wild & Q and A with Kelsey

It has been a wild, wild couple of weeks for me. I have recently accepted a full-time greeter position at Piedmont Hospital. I will still work at Publix every other Saturday. I would like to thank CSE for helping me grow personally and professionally. So, I will start at Piedmont on Monday. The Braves are winding down there season and trying to get a spot in the play-offs. Sorry, I'm not saying much about the job but I will let you know more details once I start.

I would like to introduce to you the newest staff member, Kelsey Falvey. Here's a quick snapshot of Kelsey:

Q.How did you meet Kyle?
A.We had an intimate interview date at Lennox Mall and went to the Apple store to get my iPhone fixed.

Q.What do you think of Kyle's family?
A.Love them, they made me feel welcome from the first day I started...I consider them my Atlanta family! Very much like my family life back home in NC, a little crazy but full of love.

Q. I hear that Kyle has a funny nickname for all of his workers, what is yours?
A. BETTY BOOP, don't ask me why? But I like it :)

Q. What is next for you and Peasey?
A. Our next adventure will be traveling to the great state of North Kakalaki were we can cheer on the Tar Heels at the Dean Dome and go vandalize Cameron Indoor Stadium. I need to introduce him to the Chapel Hill way of life & he needs to meet the Falvey clan!

Goodnight blog nation and GO FALCONS!

Adversity

Adversity can be defined as pushed to the limits, according to K. Peasey. Appreciation is when you appreciate something and when you are pushed by the people that love and care for you. A week ago, this was all put into focus for me by my big bro. My big bro competed in an IronMan. When you push and you drive so hard, that is what life is all about to me. Do you have the drive to pursue your goals and aspirations? To fight through your adversities? To appreciate your life?

State of K Peasey

As we close down the month of August and look forward to the Fall, it has been a very exciting and challenging time in my life. We recently took a trip to Kentucky to see my brother, Brent, compete in a full Ironman Triathlon. It was an amazing experience to be a part of. The crowd was something that I'll never forget for the rest of my life. It was so inspirational to see everyone rooting on everybody for the common goal. It really tests your ability and your mental strength. I am so proud of my brother for what he did, and it was awesome to be there with Sam and the rest of my family. You never know how much of a little impact somebody can have on you. I believe that one of the best experiences for me this past weekend going to see my brother, was the spirit and the gift that all the participants have. We all have a gift and it's up to us to use that gift to our fullest advantage and push ourselves to the limit. We are on the edge everyday. How can you make a difference in your world? I want to do an Ironman. I want people to see that I want to take it to the next level. I want to push the edge. I want to find that gift. I want to find that passion.

Louisville Slugga'

This coming weekend I am going on a road trip to Louisville, KY to watch my big bro' compete in an iron man competition. It should be a good time! And I'm looking forward to getting out of GA for a minute. Excited to see how they make the bats at the Louisville Slugger factory tour as well.

Events

Last night we went to Fernbank for the Martini and Imax movie, Stomp Odyssey. It was really cool to see how different countries dance to different types of music. If you haven't heard by now, Chipper Jones is out for the year with a torn ACL. The show must go on. Chipper will definitely be missed, there is no doubt about that, but the Braves must go on and fight and never give up. There's your motivation for today. Take a look at KylePease.org as we are getting ready to update in the next couple of weeks.

JD and stuff

Stuff: The Braves are in first place- two and a half games ahead, currently without Chipper. Get better buddy. The Falcons and my boy Matt Ryan are coming back in a few weeks. I cannot wait! I wonder if Matty Ice still has the KPeasey bracelet I gave him last year. I am taking pictures on my phone and sending them to people so you may get a picture from me.

JD: As I was looking around the internet last night I stumbled upon Dr. Johnson's photo wordpress site. My man, you have a talent and a very nice picture of Bre and Cam, but to the right I saw my website on there and I truly felt a sense of pride. So, thank you buddy for spreading the word. I hope everybody has a wonderful night!

Momentum

For those of you that did see the Braves game tonight - they won! 4-2... on a night where they played awful in the field and both Chipper and J. Hey were out due to injury. With their backs against the wall, they just kept fighting. We can take a lesson from this game.

Good luck, Matt Kuchar, this week as he eyes his first majoy championship! Go get 'em kid!

Dog Days of Summer

It has been extremely hot in the ATL, which has led me to the dog days of summer. My brother has moved back from Cleveland and we went to the Braves game last night. It was awesome. It's definitely good to have him back. There will be a lot of changes occurring in the next few months in my life to better my quality of life. Stay tuned...

Amazing

Today I had lunch with one of my good buddies, Graham Welch. Graham is no ordinary young man. He had a tumor on his spine which resulted in him being at the Shepperd Center. The first time I entered his room I did not know what to expect, but his determination and perseverance got me through that night. In the next few weeks, I continue to check on him, and he's made tremendous progress along the way. Today he walked into the mall with the biggest smile on his face, and we talked and always said, "You can relate to me," before he answered any question. I think we can all take away from Graham's story how much we should appreciate life and appreciate each other. Goodnight!

News

I am pleased to announce that kylepease.org is back up and running. Thank you to Roger to all his hard work in getting it back up and running! We have some new photographs up and we are working on new video to put up shortly. I encourage each and every one of you to take a look at my website as well as the new career sports twitter, which I am assisting with... very cool stuff! CSE_clientrep good stuff.

Congratulations to the Johnson Family for welcoming their new son, Camdyn Owen on Ben's birthday. I'll never forget that day ha. Also, a big congratulations goes out to my big brother for completing his first triathlon in the California area last week. 5 hr 24 min was his time. Good for you dude! Now he is off to Kentucky at the end of August when I will make my yearly vacation, so look out Kentucky!

I was home alone last week while my parents were with Brent in California. What an amazing time I had! The cooling system is coming along well. We just need to have a permanent place on the wheelchair for it to sit. It's football season around the corner so GO FALCONS! I hope everybody has a great weekend, and please if you are in the Atlanta Metropolitan area stay out of the heat today!

Do You Know

Do you know that my new staff Jacqueline Ryan has some former connections to Kyle Pease besides being a good friend of one of my former workers Suzanne. She had also discovered that she knows Dr. Johnson and his wife through Southern Mississippi Soccer.
kylepease.org is having some technical difficulties right now. We are working around the clock to get it back up in a timely manner. Thank you for all the support.

The Saga Continues

Hahaha, Got ya! Well we all have it but why is gas so expensive these days. When ya figure that one out let me know. In other news, we have updated the website but we are still working on the technical difficulties. To fill you in on the story, Kirstin successfully gave me a shower in her sweatpants the other day. The water cooler is coming along very well although it will be a few more weeks until we are able to transport it. I hope everybody has a gaserrific day!

Good Evening ladies and gentlemen. I must say this is a KPeasey first right here. My aide is about to administer a shower wearing sweatpants. Yes, would have thunk. More to come later....

Fun in the Sun

Hello! I hope everybody is having a wonderful summer! My summer is a typical, busy, and crazy - but good - summer. I decided to blog because I'm watching the Braves game, and I'm extremely nervous right now. Football is right around the corner.

Here are some pictures of some of my summer fun so far:

Here's one from the past, my girl Amy G at the Great Wall of China sporting the K Peasey bracelet

The next one is my boy Sam chillin' with the panda

And this last one is Peasey representing that U-S-of-A. You know!

Stuff

Hey! I hope everybody had a good weekend. I just wanted to let everyone know that we have updated the website with the Scout Mob article and a few more photographs have been added to the gallery. Has anyone ever felt trapped? It's a point of life that we all feel at some point in our lives. We all go through peaks and valleys. We all need somebody to put our shoulder one every now and again. It's just a part of life, and no, I'm not depressed. I just want people to appreciate what they have. Random thought: Did you know that everybody has a disability? Did you know that it easier to smile than to frown? Did you know that every day is a gift and we should all live it to the fullest? And my main man, Dr. Martin Luther King once said: "I Have a Dream." This blog is very random, but I hope everyone has a fantastic week! And remember to walk with a purpose.

U S of A

Hey Guys! I am sorry that I have not blogged in a while. It has been quite a couple of weeks. I am pleased to announce from time to time you will see a water cooler on the back of my wheelchair that will pump water on my back to keep me cool during the hot summer days in Atlanta. I am in the process of writing my book on a tape recorder... so far so good. The days in Atlanta are very hot, but interesting. I have just completed the water challenge where I drink water, nothing else, well besides food of course, but strickly water as my fluids. The Braves are still in first place. The Falcons are about to come back, and yes, the Atlanta Beat. I am a soccer state of mind, because of Landon Dononvan's heroics. The good ole U S of A. I have been to more soccer games than I can remember, including the newest team, the women's professional soccer team, the Beat. The Beat play at Kennesaw's new soccer facility, and I have been to both games with JD. I am highly critical of this stadium although it is very beautiful. This stadium does need improvement to make it more user friendly for all guests, but kudos to Kennesaw. What can I say? Thanks for all of the support. Signing off,

KPeasey

Stuff

There has been a lot of stuff going on. First of all, a few things: there has been 17 people that have worked for me. Thank you all! It has been an amazing run and there is soo much more to go. Good Luck to the United States as they get ready to open up in the World Cup.

The one word that has been coming to my mind as of late is: Amazing. It's amazing. I don't mean to brag, or put my life on a pedestal. Lately I have been feeling a lot of pressure, some of it good and some of it bad, but that's life. As I think about what I have done over the past year and a half, it's pretty amazing that I can have two part time jobs, that I am very proud of, I can maintain a staff that has five completely different personalities, and take care of their payroll and schedule bi-weekly, and I can navigate a city on public transportation. I'm surprised I'm not somewhere rocking right now. I hope everybody has a great week. Pease.

Quiet

It's June people! And the Braves are on an 8 game winning streak!! And I'm extremely satisfied with the results! Other than that there is a lot of good stuff going on that's in the works... so I don't want to elaborate just yet, I'm going to stay quiet until they come to fruition. I did not get to canoeing because of the weather, but rest assure - I will be going in the near future! I hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day holiday weekend and remembered the men and women making sacrifices for us, helping us live in freedom.

I'm sitting here trying to scratch my face, but it's not working... just a random thought I figured I would share...

Hope everyone has a marvelous Wednesday evening, and make it a tremendous Thursday tomorrow!

Just to let you know - I was able to reach my face to scratch it. Hard work pays off!

Lata!!!

My Good Buddy John David

So I've been getting a lot of comments about my blog about people that you want to meet, like my family and good friends. My family is coming in a little while, but I want to introduce you to a very good friend of mine, John David Johnson II. John David taught me Leadership and Sports my second year at Kennesaw. He was very timid by me, but most people that meet me for the first time are very timid and don't know what to say. When I started cracking jokes, he said yea, this kid is going to be alright. So I ended up with a B in the class, but if felt like an A. I really busted my butt in that class. Every since then, JD and I have developed this very unique relationship. In fact, this is going to sound weird, but I look at JD as a big brother or a second father figure in my life. JD has touched me in a way that I will be forever grateful. He has taught me the love and passion for the outdoors in a way that I never thought that I could view the outdoors. I may be very limited in what I can do, but he shows me that the wilderness has no boundaries. His family is one of the nicest families that I have ever met, from his wife to his son, who I freaking adore, to even his mom, dad, and nephews. They are stand up people and we need more people like John David in this world. Besides him always laughing at me, for God knows why, to him laughing at my staff for carrying a purse on a canoe (she's typing this.... and the purse did not come all the way onto the canoe), I can honestly say that JD is the man, and I look up to him. So, hugs and hand pounds bro.

Canoeing - KPeasey style!

On Friday I will be going canoeing for the first time ever. I have been white water rafting, but I've never been in a canoe before. On Sunday there was a trial run that went pretty well, but I did get really hot (and burnt!). Besides that it was a lot of fun and laid back - literally and figuratively. I hope that somebody will capture some photographs from this event to share with everyone. It should be a lot of fun! I'm really looking forward to Friday!

Ipod

For everybody that knows me, you know that my cell phone is on my wheelchair so that I can access it while I'm moving around. The other day, my buddy, Sam, who also happens to work for me, decided to go to the Home Depot to add on to my cell phone mount. I am please to announce that I now have a cell phone and an Ipod mount combination! It's great and I love it. I am getting ready for a canoe trip next Friday the 21st with John David, and Kirsten and I are going to practice on Sunday. It should be interesting. I hope everybody has a great night! More to come soon.

Fighter

The Hawks' season came to an end after 4 blow out losses to the Orlando Magic. I don't mind that the Hawks lost because Orlando was the better team, but I'm most disappointed that the Hawks showed no effort in the losses. Again, I don't care that they lost - but the guys need to show that they care about the game, they are professional athletes! Show some fight!

I attended Sam's graduation today. The commencement speaker was Arnold Schwarzenegger! Whether you agree or disagree with his political views, his message was clear - that anything is possible. The best part was that he did all his famous lines from his most popular movies - fantastic! Great stuff!

Good Stuff

Last week I spoke at the Galloway School for about 45 5th graders that were doing a project about inclusive schools. It was quite rewarding to look back on my past and tell them about some of the challenges that I went through. I always look forward to the questions kids have for me because they have some amazing and very thorough questions. We are working on the video of a speech I did in April that will be up on my website very soon. We are planning a summer vacation and a canoe trip - both should be a lot of fun. More to come later!

Speech

I am looking forward to speaking tomorrow at the Galloway School. I'm working with a 5th grade class on how to make a school inclusive/accessible. I'm really prepared and can't wait to hear some of the questions they have for me. I will keep you posted on the outcome!

Best of luck to the Hawks and Braves, as they both have big games coming up!

Wavin' Flag

Good morning blogger nation. In a few minutes I will introduce you to one of my staff Hartford. But i heard a song, and its very inspiring to me. Its called Wavin Flag. By khanan. One of my new favorite artist that Sam and I saw a few weeks ago. It speaks to me and it says you can beat me up, you can beat me down, but my flag is still waving. Its an incredible song and the official song of the 2010 world cup. Yes John David, I know what the world cup is. So be a waving flag today. And keep on waving in a positive atmosphere. Life is a gift. Love it. In some other events in team Kpeasey, we are going canoeing in late May. And then we're going to....
Its that time again to introduce you to one of my staff. Hartford Beasley Campbell, the quiet giant.
Q. How did you meet Kyle?
I met kyle on a slow Sunday afternoon in late July. Jk. I met kyle about six months ago when my girlfriend Rachel saw an ad in downtown decatur. Before I knew it she had dialed kyle and the phone was in my hand. Call it fate or call it con incidence, but that was the beginning. Rachel is now my fiance and kyle and I are now good friends.
Q. What is the greatest time you ever had with Kyle?
Wow. Kind of a tough question because we've had so many, but uh. I'd have to say the family gatherings and hockey games are in a close first, plus all the other wild spontaneous shit we do. It's all usually a great time. Of course theres ebbs and flows, but that comes with being human.
Q. How would you describe Kyle's family?
Hmmm. With words? are you kidding? haha No. Kyle's family is one of a kind. Priceless, for lack of better words. Even though I know they're not for sell. Dick is classy and hilarious, Janis is practical and kind. The bro's are steady like rocks as far as I can tell. Add kyle and you've got one hell of a family.
Q. Who all have you met with Kyle?
Well, besides loads of people I'll never remember we did get to meet the voice of the Hawks, so that was pretty cool. We've met lots of Kyle's friends over the time we've been together. That's mainly it as far as I can tell.
Q. What have you learned from Kyle?
Well, I've learned humility, appreciation, and gratitude, which are all closely related. All the same family so to speak. Another thing I've learned from kyle is to have fun. There's a time to dance so to speak. To laugh and have a good time. There's also a time to be serious and concentrate. Kyle does a good job of balancing these two things out real well. Lots of people don't these days, including me sometimes, so this was good to learn.

Deep Thought

For those of you that read this blog I appreciate it. I'm gonna use this space to write what I feel right now. First of all, I believe that we all have a gift and it's up to us whether we open that gift. So I ask you and I challenge you, did you open your gift today? I'm not perfect, nobody's perfect, but take a minute and think about how you treat people. Just be you. Don't try to be anyone that your not. For example, my boy Jason Hayward. What an incredible young man. He's him. For him. That's whats up. I just ask everybody to appreciate what they have and don't take anything for granted. This blog is very random today. I just have a lot on my mind. And I hope each and every one of you keeps their heads up, and keep fighting the fight, and grinding the grind. And never, and I mean never Give Up. Keep on keeping on. Pease

It's that time of year again: baseball has started, basketball is going into the playoffs, and Sam and I are going to game 1 of the Hawks series. Go get em Hawks! And yes, the heat of Hotlanta. It's only April and if it's this hot this early, then good gosh what do I have to look forward to?? I sit on black all day and the sweat just collects. I know this may sound gross, and it is, but you know, I just want to tell you the facts so hopefully so we will come up with a way to help me stay cool in this heat. Just fighting the fight and grinding the grind. Marta is marta. Jobs are going well. The Masters went okay. Congratulations to Matt Kuchar. And to Phil Mickelson for winning his third green jacket. And to Tiger... you can fill this in yourself. My opinion on Tiger is that he is a phenomenal athlete and he has made some decisions that he will have to deal with.

Please check out the new booking page on kylepease.org. We are continuing to re-vamp it and there will be a video up in the next three weeks. All the best and keep your head up because if I can do it, you can do it to. Yes I can!

take a minute and the j-hey kid

yo yo yo! it's been a couple good days with the masters going on and baseball season. i went to the opening day for the braves, and it was one of the best sporting events i have been to in my lifetime. congratulations to jason heyward on a great opening day! you couldn't script j-hey's opening day any better! keep on keepin' on j-hey!

i attended a concert on thursday evening, and i have been really inspired by this new artist i saw - k'naan. his songs have really touched me over the past couple days. he sings the official song for the world cup called "waving flags" and another one called "take a minute" which is a great reminder about how we need to be grateful and appreciative for what we have.

i hope everyone has a great week! and if you have some time, check out kylepease.org to see some updates we've made to the booking page! peace!

Baseballllllllllll!!!!!

I have not forgotten about the staff profiles... however, Sam and I are going to the Braves game and meeting up with Amy. I cannot wait. I am so excited! The smell of the grass, the crowd going crazy, and yes - Bobby Cox's last year. I am so excited about this team. Go Braves!

The speech last week went really well! I will try to post tid-bits from the video we made soon.

A Message from KPeasey

Hello Blogger Nation, we are taking a short break from profiling staff, but we will get back to it this week with profiles of Hartford and Kate.

First of all, I will like to invite each and every one of you to Kennesaw State on April 1st where I will be giving a comedy/inspirational speech. I am the headliner. KylePease.org is soaring to new heights with 4 possible speeches in April and May. Two are definite and two are in the process of being booked right now.

The new staff member, oh yea Kirsten, that's her name, she is doing an excellent job. :-) (You should see her face when I said that)

I just everyone to know how much I appreciate them and everything that they do for me to make my life a success. From Janice, to Dick, to my brothers, and to my incredible staff and support people to Career Sports, to Publix, and oh yes, to Marta. Thank you, even though Marta when it's convenient to them. You guys will never know how much of a positive impact, and how much I look up to each and every one of you, even if I have only met you one time.

Well I'm off to work. Keep on keeping on. Please come out on Thursday night if you're in the Kennesaw, and if your wife allows you to. Or your significant other, to be politically correct.

Q & A With Sam-a-lama-ding-dong-- MY BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

Here we go,

Q. How did you meet Kyle?
A.In mid November of 2008 I received an email from my mother that was for a position as a caretaker for someone with Cerebral Palsy. At this point in my life I was living in my own apartment and had worked for a variety of restaurants in Decatur, GA. I was starting to get fed up with the same old thing everyday so I decided to give it a shot. I called the number on the advertisement and on the other end of the line was the sweet woman I now know as Janis Pease. I called at 12:00, came in for an interview at 2:00 and had the job by 3:00. I'm glad the family liked me because I may have seemed cool and collected on the outside, but I was very nervous. Meeting Kyle for the first time was amazing.

Q. What is the greatest time you ever had with Kyle?
A. I would have to say the greatest time for me was going up to Delaware with Kyle and another co-worker, Amy, to visit a couple of Kyle's relatives. Every part about the trip was incredible! From the food, to the family, to the beach surf fun we all had, the trip was as memorable as it could be.

Q. How would you describe Kyle's family?
A. Man! from the first time I met them I felt like they were the kind of people that I could really get along with. They were understanding, kind, compassionate, and new exactly what they needed for Kyle when it comes to workers. I absolutely love his family. Dick and Janis are two of the coolest down to earth people I've met in a long time and Brent, Kyle, and Evan are exciting in each one's own way (and they all still appreciate bathroom humor as much as I do). The whole family has become my second family.

Q. Who all have you met with Kyle?
A. Ummmmm...lemme think, Dave Francour (Jeff's Dad), Matt Ryan, Jason Smith, Cornell West, and a multitude of others that I won't bore you with because there really are just too many.

Q. What would you say is going to be your next adventure with Kyle?
A. Right now, I think Kyle, our friend Allie, and myself are trying to go to San Diego, CA to visit our good friends and former workers, Suzanne and Kate. Suzanne has just started her Physical Therapy rounds in various hospitals and will be in San Diego during the summer. Kate is from Cali so we'll be on her turf for the duration of the time we are there.

Q&A with Amy... the bestest staffer in the world

In the newest installment of the blog, we will be profiling each staff member and going behind the scenes with Team KPeasey.

In the second installment of Staff Q&As, we are focusing on Amy Garland Moore (again, the bestest staffer in the world), the longest staff member on Team KPeasey.

Q: How did you meet Kyle?
A: Well, before we ever met, homeboy ran me off the sidewalk at KSU a few times racing to class. But we officially met towards the end of Spring 06 semester through some mutual friends... and the rest is history.

Q: What has been the greatest time that you have ever had with Kyle?
A: Oh, there are a few... 1) Deleware... every second of it 2) Private bus to the front doors of Turner Field 3) Inappropriate hugs from Alan Iverson 4) Bowling with KPeasey 5) Summer Fest 09... But to tell you the truth, I know the best is yet to come :)

Q: How would you describe Kyle's family?
A: Are Dick and Janis going to read this??? Kidding... Um, I'd say quirky :) That was the first word that came to mind... They are amazing though and have become my second family, my "Atlanta family". There's a lot of love in the Pease fam!

Q: Who all have you met with Kyle?
A: Alan Iverson, some Philadelphia bball player (Josh Smith?), Matt Ryan, Fred the 11 Alive sportscaster, a few Falcons coaches/staff members, and I think there are a few more... but I have a bad memory.

Q: Would you be a fan of a chapstick with a KPeasey label on it?
A: I am a fan of any and all chapstick.

P.S. Amy typed this and took a few liberties with titling the post :)

New Stuff

Team KPeasey is proud to announce their newest member of the clan, who is currently typing this right now with my watchful eye over her. Her name is Kirsten. She has already fit in with the family with some of her stories, which we will not go into at this time, but so far so good. Everything else is going pretty well. Just people don't know how to cross the street without blocking the intersection! So I have sat down, and here's a little Q and A with Kirsten. (She is taking over for Suzanne)
The madness has begun. Good luck with your brackets! I am not participating in it. Ok here we go.

Q: What's your favorite part about shower time with Kyle?
A: Well, we're about to get into the shower so I'll have to let you know afterwards.

Q: What is your favorite thing to do with Kyle?
A: I don't know. Tonight's my first night, so it will have to be determined at a later date.

Q: Where are you from?
A: Virginia Beach... Come on Kyle, too easy.

This concludes this Q and A. Sorry we did not get too personal, but I will get back to you about some of her answers in much more detail.

Each week, we will be profiling a staff member and asking them questions. Saturday night it might be Hartford, Sam, Amy, Kate, or Myself. Oh wait, I don't take care of myself. So I hope you have a lovely evening and keep on, keeping on.

Kyle

Keep On Truckin

With Spring Break here, and me not going anywhere, I'm having to face the realities of adulthood. However, I will be going to North Carolina with Hartford, going to Costa Rica with Kate, going on a cruise with Sam, and going to Missouri with Suzanne, all in spirit. Have fun, be safe, and don't do anything K Peasey wouldn't do. Everything is good in the neighborhood. Work, life, and Suzanne's departure for clinical rotation. :(
We started a cripple club, because Sam broke his ankle. Amy interviews tomorrow so cross your fingers. Sam's recovery is doing remarkably well. Signing off for now, K Peasey.

I'm Truly Honered and Humbled

Well, it's official I am twenty five. I am so grateful my brother came in town to share this special occasion with me. It was his birthday too. Happy birthday big guy.
We started off at a restaurant with about twenty people. One of my aides gave me a gift of a lifetime.
A tattoo on his foot that says walking for KP. I think there was not a dry eye in the restaurant. I am truly truly honored that I will be a part of him and my entire staff for the rest of my life. I am truly grateful and to John David you are the man.
I really don't know what to say. I'm really at a loss for words right now. But it was truly one of the best days of my life. Thanks again to everyone who made it such a great day. Keep on walking for KP.

working out

The other day Amy and I headed to the gym to work out for the time! It went great! I tested the waters with the machines they set for my program to see what I could do. I'm looking forward to going again tomorrow and seeing how my reacts.

Keep on keepin' on!

My birthday is 8 days away! We will be in Buckhead having a good time! And we have a hotel for the night! Evan is coming in town as well; it should be a blast.

I'm a lean mean fighting machine.

Team KPeasey has put a comprehensive plan together to allow me to get some physical exercise in. I joined a gym! Yes, that's right, I joined a gym. I have joined the Shepherd Adapted Fitness Center. It is truly amazing, the equipment that they have. I plan on going 3 times week to work out my upper and lower body. My staff assists me with reaching the goals that we have made. So I will keep you updated on my progress. I am so pumped about this! My and Evan's birthday is coming up next Friday. Yes, I'll be 25 and I have gray hair already. Please take a look at kylepease.org, as we have updated it with new pictures and videos.

really, Marta??

this afternoon i went to have lunch with my buddy, ben, who works at the Equitable building in downtown ATL. so i take the train to right around the corner from where he works. i arrived there at 1:20 for a 1:30 lunch and come to find out that the elevators are broken to get up to the street level. i asked a gentleman who is a contractor for Marta to assist me, and he attempted to fix the elevators - but to no avail. finally, he says "can you go on the escalator?"... i said "excuse me, sir? there is no way that you can get 4 guys to life my wheelchair up an escalator." so finally after about a 25 minute wait, the elevator was fixed and i was able to enjoy lunch. really, Marta? there was no staff in sight to assist me in one of the busiest stations they operate.... i was a little frustrated to say the least, but i just kept wheelin'!!

hugs and hand pounds!

I Have A Dream

Hello Blogger Nation,

I have a dream, that one day, I will be able to put on foot in front of the other. I have a dream, that I will one day find my own pursuit of happiness, and by the way, its just around the corner. On the eve of Dr. King's birthday we need to be mindful and grateful, about how precious this life is, and how we need to treat everybody with dignity and respect. I take you back to Dr. King, who was a man of peace that served our country and the world as a man who practiced what he preached. I ask each and every one of you to challenge yourself to see how we can better your world and your community. If Dr. King lived today, what would he say about today's society? Again, I just ask that you look at the person to your right, and let you know that you appreciate them and that you love them. I Have A Dream

Chili Night at the Rog Mahal (when dootie calls).

Thank you Michael John Chesin for spilling chili on my new white sweater.....that's why you're a friend, not a worker.

So far, so good - 2010

It's off to a good start! We're on Day 3 of the Water Challenge for the month of January. I think I will continue with drinking water only for one week straight, once a month, for the rest of the year. It's very challenging but very rewarding at the same time. So hopefully I can keep to my word and do this for the rest of the year.

We are about to update the website and add a few new features - so please check back to kylepease.org for some exciting stuff!

Hugs and hand pounds -
